Columbus Day Oct 12th

Monday, Oct 12th, is known as Columbus Day in the USA. In recent years, however, many Americans have started to question the whole idea of celebrating Columbus. Several cities around the US have already replaced Columbus Day with the Indigenous People’s Day to honour the various Native American and Inuit people whose lives, traditions and fortunes were crossed by the White Man.
