Formative Assessment Tools in WebEnglish.se

The renamed category FeedForward Tools covers digital tools that lend themselves perfectly to various formative assessment activities for your students’ learning experiences. The category was first called Feedback Tools, but when I was looking for a category to add some specific formative assessment tools in, I realised that renaming the old ‘feedback’ category ‘feedforward’ instead, it would cover all kinds of supportive criticism, be it student to student, student to teacher or teacher to student. All assessment should be formative until the final grading at the end of the term and according to John Hattie, all assessment is really assessing the teacher and not the student. Think about that next time you plan a formative assessment task with any of these over a dozen  FeedForward Tools.
