Individualization, failure and fun

WebEnglish.se is grateful to Cordell Steiner, an American (advanced) 3rd-grader. In his TEDx-talk, he defines the three concepts that make his learning meaningful. The same concepts lay the foundation of “Personalisation” that the author of WebEnglish.se is exploring, especially in diverse classes and with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Cordell is fascinated by Learning Games that his teacher provides. Apart from games, there are countless ways to incorporate individualisation, promote failure and make learning fun at the same time. WebEnglish.se sees the key element in waking up students’ passions, be it Space, Reading or Games. Watch Cordell Steiner’s 5-minute TEDx-talk to get the idea.
