Back to Hattie

Listening to an old interview with John Hattie, these words stuck out. How do we teach teachers to think? Every lesson a teacher makes dozens (if not hundreds) of choices and decisions on the spot. There is no time to think it over, just to think on your feet. No method nor material can replace the importance of thinking for the teacher. After 35 years, I am still learning. The point with WebEnglish.se for me is to document and share some of the gems, both old and new, harder and softer lessons of teaching with the extended community of English teachers – hoping that for some of you it wouldn’t have to take decades to learn to think, as it has taken me.
