Today’s topic in Sweden is about teachers, “bad” teachers vs “good” teachers and should the “bad” ones be dismissed. 40 % of the Swedish teachers would like to leave their job. Naturally, if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, you can’t be doing it well.
Instead of leaving, WebEnglish.se would like to see all teachers rekindle their passion — to teaching, to children and/or to the subject, whichever once drove them to this career.
John Hattie says that passion is the most important factor that affects learning, but, unfortunately, impossible to measure. (Visible Learning, 2012)
