Rumpelstiltskin

Rumplestiltskin_-_Anne_Anderson

The Story

is about a miller, who lies to the king, telling him that his daughter can spin straw into gold. The king calls for the girl, shuts her in a tower room filled with straw and a spinning wheel, and demands she spin the straw into gold by morning or he will cut off her head. How to Simplify Any Story

Whenever you find a good story for your students but with too many difficult words for them to enjoy the storyline, use this 3-step process to simplify the text to suit your students. This method is also valuable for diverse groups when you want everybody to get the gist of the same digital story at their own level.
1. Copy the story and paste it into Rewordify. Click on “Rewordify text”.
2. Copy the reworded text into a Word or Google document and do final simplifying changes to the story and vocabulary.
3. Add a picture from Pixabay and share the document with your students.
