Several teachers have expressed a need for materials about World War II in English to use in cross-curricular projects with Social Studies. Monday, May 8th is the anniversary of Victory in Europe in 1945 and June 6th is the anniversary of D-Day in 1944, so WebEnglish.se has published a theme page on WW II (yr 7-9) to coincide with these celebrations. The world politics being what they are at the moment it might be a good idea to remind the next generation what the former generation had to do to save the democratic world from Hitler’s dictatorship and racial persecution. “Those who can not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” G.Santayana
