Teachers who follow the calendar find it problematic this year, as Easter coincides with both Earth Day, April 22nd and Shakespeare’s Birthday, April 23rd. Whichever way you plan and prioritise, there are ample resources in WebEnglish.se:
The old Easter Page has been divided into Easter 1-5, which is furthermore divided into three levels, and Easter 6-9, which is categorised according to skills, the same way as the other Theme Pages.
For environmental studies there are two levels, Environment 5-7, and Environment 8-9, as well as a new-comer, Climate Change bringing up Global Warming but no other environmental issues, suitable from year 7 and up in Swedish Schools.
For studies about Shakespeare, you can choose between three pages; Shakespeare EZ (6-7), Shakespeare’s Life (8-9) and Shakespeare’s Work (8-9).
For young learners (yr 1-6), there is also a theme page of Spring to fill the April lessons with.
