The Secrets of a Smile

Rekindle Your Passion. The simple act of smiling makes your body release endorphins into your brain and lights up the minds of your students. If it feels quite impossible to smile this morning, take a moment before class and place a pencil between your teeth to force your mouth into a grimace, which also does the trick. Even pretending to be happy will make you feel better and you will soon feel happier quite naturally. An extra bonus: There’s nothing better than a smile to unsettle and disarm a grumpy student (or colleague). Spread your smile to rekindle your passion.
