Advertising is everywhere, and it’s very irritating to get too many commercials in the middle of an interesting video or ads all around the text when reading a story with your students. Luckily, there are a few free tools you can use to make your viewing or reading in the classroom clutter-free.
I have started adding recommendations of some decluttering tools on some of the new links on WebEnglish.se when I think the original website or video is too cluttered with ads. For videos, my favourite is SafeShare.tv, and for texts, I like the Chrome add-on Mercury Reader.
