October Highlights

WebEnglish.se has updated materials for October celebrations. First up is World Teachers’ Day, and you can let your students study the greatest, historic teachers of all times.
On the 2nd Monday of October, most Americans celebrate Columbus Day, while some cities have changed the name to Native Americans’ Day to honour the indigenous peoples, who lived there first.
For a whole week, starting on the 18th, Unicef organises the World’s Largest Lesson in order to spread awareness of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. The week culminates in the annual celebrations of United Nations Day.
The last week in October is traditionally full of preparations for Halloween for which WebEnglish.se has updated both pages, Halloween 1-6 and Halloween 7-9.
