It’s been a real eye-opener to check the links in WebEnglish.se to see which ones have not been visited for the last year. Let’s call it streamlining; So far, I have deleted 342 links from the category Skills.
I have gone through some mindboggling self-assessment in the process, and also come to some conclusions that I can only hope are right, when trying to analyse what the users want and what not.
When I started curating the materials, my aim was always to keep in mind quality before quantity. Somewhere in these six years, the focus has got blurred as I have found more and more materials that I think someone will like instead of just materials that I would like myself.
I can only promise you that there will be fewer bad links to scroll through to find the good ones, as I will continue checking the popularity and quality of the links every time I update a new theme.
