Online Classes with WebEnglish.se

As almost all activities presented on WebEnglish.se are digital,  they can be used in remote learning. Here are some concrete tips on how you can utilise some of the WebEnglish.se resources:

The Themes

Let your students vote to choose a theme they would like to study. Give them time to explore the links in that theme on their own, learn what they want to learn, and then present their learning in any way they like.

Real Books

Nowadays, you can find almost any book online.  To support students who find it difficult to read by themselves, there is a collection of popular titles as audiobooks for them to choose from.  The theme page with Book Tasks lists dozens of activities your students will enjoy doing instead of the old, tedious book reports.

Digital Tools

WebEnglish.se presents the best digital tools for any classroom, many with introduction videos. There is even a special category for teachers teaching virtually.

1:1 Learning

This page provides links to various self-study activities for students to explore language, whether they wish to learn how to study, listen to e.g. podcasts, watch educational videos, practise reading, writing, vocabulary, or even speaking,

My friend J. Matt Miller at DitchThatTextbook has compiled a website with everything you can’t even imagine you could learn about online teaching:
