During this Summer Break, WebEnglish.se has once again undergone a cleaning and updating phase. There is a new category of themes for intermediate students, History 7-9. Besides the older historical themes, this category now includes both legends and documentaries from British History.
As more and more classes are being provided with digital devices for the students, WebEnglish.se has started to add Interactive Activities in some of the themes. These could well be used for individualisation.
The Main Pages for Teaching Levels (Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Teen Beginner) have also changed form. In order to make the contents easier to find, the links to themes and other language materials are now in two columns, visible side by side. On the top of the page, there is a direct link to one or two recent additions and the Level Presentation text has been moved to the top right, where it can be scrolled down.
When you first opened WebEnglish.se after these updates, you will have received a notice about our Cookie Policy and a request to accept it in order for the page to perform smoothly and according to your needs.
When you open a new page, you can see a red line gradually covering the top edge of the page. This is a progress bar, showing you the time it takes to open the page completely. The length of time depends on whether you have visited the page within a month (this is also what the cookies are for) as well as on the speed of your processor and that of your network.
As earlier announced, we are experimenting with some ads. This is just a trial with very little revenue. In the long run, we will need to find a way to cover some of the costs that are increasing year after year as the page gets bigger and more advanced.
